3 STAATSKOERANT, 28 NOVEMBER GENERAL NOTICE ALGEMENE KENNISGEWING NOTICE 1490 OF 2008 MUNICIPAL DEMARCATION BOARD REQUEST IN TERMS OF SECTION 22 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT: MUNICIPAL DEMARCATION ACT, 1998 (ACT NO. 27 OF 1998) FOR THE RE DETERMINATION OF THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF WEST RAND DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY (DC48) AND KENNETH KAUNDA DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY (DC40) (Gauteng/Nrth West) In ters f Sectin 22 f the Lcal Gvernent: Municipal Dearcatin Act, 1998 (Act 27 Of 1998), the Minister f Prvincial and Lcal Gvernent has requested the Municipal Dearcatin Bard t re-deterine the bundaries f West Rand District Municipality (DC48) and Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality (DC40) by excluding Merafng City Lcal Municipality fr the unicipal area f Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality (DC40), and by including Merafng City int the unicipal area f West Rand District Municipality (DC48). The relevant aps are hereby published t reflect the request received fr the Minister. The Bard will sn be publishing a ntice in ters f sectin 26 f the Dearcatin Act, 1998, in the edia t invite public views and representatin n this atter. Die betrkke kaarte wat die Minister se versek reftekteer, wrd hieree gepubliseer. Die Raad sal binnekrt 'n kennisgewing ingevlge artikel 26 van die Afbakeningswet, 1998 in die edia publiseer die publiek uit te ni enings en verte r die saak aan die Raad vr te Ie. Die herbepaling van die unisipale grense is nderwrpe aan 'n wysiging van die Grndwet van die Republiek, Merafng City uit te sluit van die gegrafiese gebied van Nrd-Wes Prvinsie, en dit in te sluit in die gegrafies gebied van Gauteng Prvinsie.
