The Tithe map of 1854/5 shows the land around the cottage being owned and occupied by John Lipscomb. If the former name of this house is derived from the surname of a family that lived there in the past, there were Boyletts living in the area in 1861 and The number in bold in the last column indicates the page number on the original census.
