3 MAIN SPEAKERS Key Note Speaker: Professor Soumyen Bandopadhyay Prof. Soumyen Bandyopadhyay is Professor of Architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture. He has previously taught at the Nottingham Trent University, where he also held a professorial appointment in Architecture and Design, the Liverpool School of Architecture at the University of Liverpool, and the Leeds Metropolitan University. He will be soon appointed as the Sir James Sterling Chair in Architecture at the Liverpool School of Architecture.

4 Dr. Vahid Ghobadian Contemporary Architecture of Heritage Cities in Iran Dr. Vahid Ghobadian has a Bachelor s and a master s degree in architecture from the Ohio State University and Ph.D. in architecture from the Islamic Azad University in Iran. He has taught at several different universities in since 1983 and was elected as the researcher of the year 2005 of the Islamic Azad University. He is presently the head of the department of architecture of the Islamic Azad University in Dubai.

5 Debashish Nayak Urbanization and Heritage Cities Debashish Nayak is an architect who has more than two decades of experience in managing urban conservation issues of Historic Cities in India and abroad. He is presently based in Ahmedabad and appointed as Director, Centre for Heritage Management of Ahmedabad University.

6 Ashok Kumar Jain Sustainable Development Ashok Kumar Jain, is an architect who as commissioner (Planning) with the Delhi development Authority, worked on master plan for Delhi-2021, National Urban Transport Policy (2006) and Habitat policy (2007).

7 Professor Charanjit Shah: Transition to Smart Cities Architect, educationist & academician, Prof. Charanjit S Shah established Creative Group in 1973 with an approach towards Green Architecture in India. He has spearheaded landmark sustainable projects in India.
