3 TRIALS - Entries are invited from pairs who are interested in representing Ireland in this event. The International Committee has invited World Champion Pat McDevitt to represent Ireland in this event with his Irish partner, Michael MacDonagh, and they have accepted the invitation. Butler Pairs trials with IMPs scoring converted to VPs will be held in Templeogue Bridge Centre on 9 th / 10 th February A round robin format will be used where each pair will play every other pair at least once. Starting times and lengths of matches will be determined by entry. The first two pairs will be invited to represent Ireland. The pairs finishing 3 rd to 5 th will be nominated as reserves in case any of the invited pairs are unavailable to play. Ties will be broken by IMP quotient, which failing by IMP differential and finally the result in the direct match. ENTRIES- Entries accompanied by the entrance fee 120 per pair must be submitted to CBAI National Headquarters on or before Tuesday 15 th January Entries without entry fee will not be accepted. GENERAL The International Sub-Committee is empowered to alter any of the arrangements or conditions including times, dates and venues and to decide on all matters affecting these trials. Each player entering the trials is undertaking to represent Ireland if nominated and to abide fully with all the conditions of these trials. All events will be TRANSNATIONAL and there will be no restrictions on the number of entries allowed per NBO. Registration All entries to the various competitions must be submitted electronically by 31st May 2013 via the EBL Website. Entries received will be automatically forwarded to the NBO of each proposed player, and are subject to their NBO s approval. Entry applications submitted after the deadline will be accepted only if technically convenient. Withdrawals of accepted entries are subject to the same deadline.
