2 OVERVIEW The grounds offer striking architecture and inspirational scenery for leisurely strolls, games of tennis and waterside picnics. The estate has been the home of the Tempest family since The Hall dates back to 1597 and over the generations the family have collected a fine collection of paintings and furnishings. Exclusively yours during your stay - offers a unique and authentic opportunity to stay in your very own stately home. With its quintessentially English interiors this Grade 1 historic house is the perfect complement to any celebration. The impressive state rooms lend themselves as a magnificent backdrop to any event and the individually characterful bedrooms and bathrooms ensure a memorable stay. Through the 19th century conservatory and into the formal gardens is a wonderfully private space and the croquet lawn is perfectly situated for marquee parties. The beautiful Walled Garden, right in the heart of the traditional estate, has been redesigned and restored by Dan Pearson turning it into a charming creation to be enjoyed during your stay. Next door to this is Elysium, a contemporary yet natural celebration venue that sits within the walls of the garden, designed by Sir Michael Hopkins. It is a light and airy space that creates a wonderfully simple environment that effortlessly flows out into the surrounding grounds, perfect for celebrating special occasions. The grounds have played host to many memorable events, including country shows, music festivals and open air theatre events.
