Occupying rai of a private hillside, Dinso Residence comprises 26 studio units (31 to 36 sq.m.), 32 one-bedroom units (43 to 56 sq.m.) and 2 two-bedroom penthouses (88 and 89 sq.m.). 3 - Legal - How can a foreigner own property in Thailand? According to the Condominium Act, foreigners are allowed to purchase freehold condominiums up to 49% of the total floor area of a building. The ownership of a freehold condominium is the simple and most straight forward legal tenure available to foreign investors. What are the taxes and costs associated with the unit purchase? The costs & taxes associated with the unit purchase are outlined below: Transfer fee: 2% of the official appraisal value of the property by the Land Department. The transfer fee is split equally between the buyer and the developer Legal Fees: Fee payable to the buyers legal representative to conduct due diligence and contract review (if required by the buyer). The fee ranges between law firms.
