The living space is open plan, with a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, and a super double-height sitting/dining room which is airy and full of light thanks to the picture windows, and yet rendered cosy by the good-sized log-burner. Sliding doors lead on two sides from the living area onto the fantastic terrace, a sun-trap in all seasons, which offers plenty of space for dining, sun-bathing, and generally enjoying the enviable views over some of the areas best-loved mountains. Also on the ground floor, there is a large double bedroom including ample fitted-wardrobe space, with an enormous bathroom housing two sinks, a bath and a super massage-shower. There are a further two rooms on this level, currently a bureau/storage room and a laundry room, which are both large enough and light enough to be transformed into further bedrooms, office space, gym or play area. A pretty, oak staircase curves up to the first floor and opens onto a wide mezzanine overlooking the downstairs living room. There are four bedrooms on this floor, three with mini-mezzanines so suitable as family rooms for guests or fantastic as children s bedrooms, and two have access onto the chalet s upper balcony. The fourth bedroom is dual aspect a light quiet room, perfect as a guest room or reading room. All bedrooms have plenty of built-in storage, and there are further cupboards on the mezzanine itself, a large area which, again, could be turned to many uses office, gym, music room, reading lounge. 3 The lower ground floor offers a large double garage, and an additional 80m2 or so of potential living space as yet unexploited. This area could readily be transformed into a two/three-bedroom apartment with garden access, since the window openings are already in place. The garden, accessed either from the terrace or internally from the lower ground floor, is another pleasant spot from which to admire the stunning views, and also incorporates a covered area which would be an ideal place for a children s play area, a hot-tub, or even a small swimming pool! Every care has been taken in the construction of this lovely home, from the warm honey-coloured mélèze wood cladding over top-notch insulation on the outside, to the beautiful polished granite surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom interiors.
