2 Overview Open Door is a City of Toronto initiative with support from the Affordable Housing Office, City Planning, Corporate Finance, Real Estate Services, Shelter Support and Housing Administration, Legal Services, as well as many City Agencies, including Build Toronto, Toronto Community Housing, Toronto Parking Authority, and Waterfront Toronto. The strong housing market and new Open Door Program create a unique opportunity to develop new affordable homes in Toronto. The listed properties present a range of affordable rental, ownership and market opportunities in 12 wards across the City. The properties require Council approval, but will be rolled out over the course of the Open Door Program ( ). 2
