4 Site Analysis There are many red brick warehouse remaining in the district of Collingwood. They are all wrapped by the solid bricks, which gives people a feeling of excluded. Collingwood Neighborhood Profile Only 36% of Collingwood residents feel safe in the laneways in their neighborhood. About 40% of Collingwood residents identify drug dealing and drug use to be a problem.
5 Site Analysis Street Interviews Asian woman: I would not walk around in this area at night because there are few people here, and the street is a little gloomy, few shops and few lights. It is scared. I would ask someone else together if I have to leave the door. Greek man: I would avoid to walk in this area at night, because robbery could happen, I would choose to drive a car if it is necessary. Conclusion: People feel unsafe while walking in Collingwood at night, and things could change if there are more lights, more shops and more people walking around.
