19 What Problems We face With Complex Site Boundary Data Conversion and Validation Multi department Involvement Lack of Document for EMPC standards Lack of GIS Expert in the beginning

20 How Collaboration We have Project Management A close project team was formed from MTR and UtilityINFO User input is well recognized and fulfilled A temporary working office was set up in MTR headquarter Bi weekly meeting from Jun to Dec 2009

21 How Collaboration We have Complex Site Boundary MTR helps to provide record boundary including new project site areas A lot of technical training on MTR standards were received Joint project investigation for site boundary alignment problems Highly involvement from user testing and acceptance

22 How Collaboration We have Data Conversion and Validation Huge volume of record plans from MTR Data Conversion takes long time to complete MTR IT department fully support on the data conversion MTR Drawing department plays a consultancy and quality assurance roles Due to different formats of record plan and GIS, there is no direct method to validate the converted files

23 How Collaboration We have Multi Department Involvement Train the trainer approach was taken User training was conducted by MTR ISO and IT audit were well implemented Change Management was adopted Hotline for post implementation A lot of testings with other UUs were carried out

24 How Collaboration We have Lack of Document for EMPC standards Insufficient document about EMPC only a standard flow diagram, and file layout No document on e Cert details We arranged jointly visit to Highway Department to have EMPC demo A lot of integration testing with other UUs Practical experience sharing with other UUs MTR IT department also participated on preparation of technical standards like Single Sign On, ecert, etc
