A lack of supply kept the market moving The market in has been reasonably active so far this year, with some excellent sales achieved three of which we sold in excess of 2.5 million. It seems that although the ongoing uncertainty in the eurozone has affected confidence, a lack of supply has kept the market moving. This pattern looks set to continue in the coming months. Our typical buyers tend to be affluent professionals, aged 40 years and The city is now beginning to attract international interest upwards, seeking best-in-class houses for their families. But we also see plenty of young executives, who are attracted to our city-centre flats close to transport links and upmarket bars, restaurants and shops. However, recently we sold three houses to Russian buyers, all of which achieved over 2 million. For residential property, this is very unusual in, and shows that the city is now beginning to attract international interest. Declutter to make each room as bright and spacious as possible. Which is the best house you ve sold this year? My first sale was a beautiful apartment with a balcony overlooking Castle amazing for the firework displays at Hogmanay and the Tattoo. What s the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon in your area? Where I live, just outside of town near the Pentland Hills, is great for outdoor pursuits, for example, mountain biking at Glentress. would it be? I love Drummond Place with its beautiful gardens a little townhouse there would suit me nicely. What s your tip for making a property stand out? Clean lines and a fresh finish. Remember the importance of making a property look its best through the sale process. would it be? I grew up in Bruntsfield and would love to buy a property in that area and live there again. There are fantastic local bars, restaurants, independent shops and green spaces. What s your top tip for making a property stand out?
