2 Energy Improvement District Formation November 11, 2007, the City of Stamford established an Energy Improvement District. Intent to provide property owners with the means to create alternative energy systems including distributive generation, combined heat and power, and renewable energy systems and to do so in partnership with other properties

3 Energy Improvement District Formation November 11, 2007, the City of Stamford established an Energy Improvement District. Intent to provide property owners with the means to create alternative energy systems including distributive generation, combined heat and power, and renewable energy systems and to do so in partnership with other properties

4 Energy Improvement District Microgrid EID Board looked to establish a micro grid project for the District. Property owners would have the ability to sell excess power to other property owners. City of Stamford applied for a grant from DEEP for the Microgrid project. Project did not move forward.

5 Energy Improvement District RFP RFP Released June 2014 for Energy Service Company (ESCO) RFP scope looked at Government Center, Rippowam Middle School, Roxbury Elementary School, Westhill High School, and Stamford High School Interviews were held in October ESCO was selected to under take the work Currently, EID is finishing the contract negotiations with Con Edison Solutions
