2 The Cyclades are a greek island group in the Aegean Sea, south-east of the mainland of Greece. They comprise about 220 islands, the major ones being Amorgos, Andros, Antiparos, Delos, Ios, Kythnos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Serifos, Sifnos, Syros and Santorini. The climate is generally dry and mild, and the agricultural products include wine, fruits, wheat, olive oil, and tobacco. Naxos is the largest island (429 km2) in the Cyclades island group. It comprises the two municipalities of Naxos and Drymalia. The largest town and capital of the island is Hora, sometimes called Naxos City, with 6,533 inhabitants (2001 census). The main villages are Filoti, Apiranthos, Vivlos, Agios Arsenios, Koronos and Glinado. Naxos is a popular tourist destination, with easy access by plane (25 min. from Eleftherios Venizelos airport) or by high-speed (3,5hrs. from Rafina or Piraieus port). It has a number of beautiful beaches, such as those at Agia Anna, Agios Prokopios, Alikos, Kastraki, Pyrgaki, Mikri Vigla, Plaka, and Agios Georgios, most of them near Hora. Naxos is the most fertile island of the Cyclades. It has a good supply of water in a region where water is usually inadequate. Mount Zas (999 metres) is the highest peak in the Cyclades, and tends to trap the clouds, permitting greater rainfall. This has made agriculture an important economic sector with various vegetable and fruit crops as well as cattle breeding, making Naxos the most self sufficient island in the Cyclades.

3 The Site In the south-west coast of Naxos, at Pyrgaki, just a few meters away from the sea, a complex of 26 independent holiday villas has been laid, suitable for a comfort and pleasant stay. The panoramic view of the open sea, the magnificent natural landscape of the Cyclades, the leeward southern golden sand beach and the calmness of the area are ideal conditions for pleasant summer holidays. The 37 acres of the area have been split into 9 amphitheatric landsites with a panoramic view to the Aegean sea. All landsites overlook a private road laid between the beach and the country road that connects Pyrgaki to Chora.

4 There are several activities one can enjoy in Pyrgaki, such as windsurfing and kitesurfing, scuba diving and horse riding by the sea. Near Pyrgaki beach there is also a small cove allowing the use of dinghies for the yacht owners.

5 Technical Characteristics Eight of the landsites include three villas each, and the ninth one contains two. Each villa includes a two-storey maisonette and a guesthouse at an independent level,harmonically combining the simplicity of the Aegean Sea architecture with modern construction and a contemporary perception of spacious and functional areas. The complex includes 14 villas of 95 sq.m., 10 of 115 sq.m. and 2 of 151 sq.m. Traditional pergolas, in harmony with the natural environment, ensure the autonomy or integration of the villas, according to the preference of their owners. The layout of the surrounding area with stone-paved roads along with the overall landscape meet the need of the inhabitant for a gateway and a change. The interior include a kitchen, a traditional cycladic sitting-room and a w.c. on the ground floor, while the bedrooms, the bathrom and the veranda with unlimited sea view on the top floor permit the confortable stay of 5 to 8 people, according to the overall size of each villa.
