3 3 LOCATION The Art House is within easy reach of all of Penzance s extensive amenities as well as the beach, harbour, Jubilee Pool and promenade. Penzance station is a 10 minute walk providing direct links to London Paddington with an approximate travel time of 4½ hours making it the perfect bolthole from which to escape London. Penzance itself has a wide range of high street shops as well as the Wharfside Shopping Centre which has an array of shops and cafés alike. A short walk from New Street are Morrab Gardens and Penlee Park, Penzance s very own tropical gardens. Similarly, within a 5 minute walk of The Art House is the coast path which will take you to Marazion in one direction and to Newlyn and on to Mousehole in the other direction. New Street is one of Penzance s oldest and most historic streets with The Art House being directly across the road from the former telephone exchange which used to be the old market dating back to the 17th Century. From Penzance harbour, the Scillonian Ferry travels to the Isles of Scilly on a daily basis and yards from the harbour is the art deco Jubilee Pool which recently reopened after having been extensively refurbished over 2½ years. Penzance s mile long promenade stretches from the station all the way along to Newlyn along which can be found a wonderful array of pubs, restaurants and shops.
