The road proposals include junction design and provision for tie-ins to adjoining roads and greenways prescribed in the Planning Scheme. The total road length proposed is c.5.4kms, of which c.4.1kms is new road and c.1.3kms relates to works to existing roads i.e. WLR, Cherrywood Avenue and Tully Vale Road. As part of the above roads, permission is also sought for associated footpaths and pedestrian crossing points, cycle lanes, bus lanes and stops, verge and median landscaping, public lighting, traffic signals, directional signage and all associated ancillary works. 3. Provision is made within the road corridor and underground services (surface and foul water drainage and watermains supply) and ducting for public utilities and telecoms. Underground utilities ducting on Lehaunstown Lane (part of) will provide a connection from proposed Castle Street (Junction K) to the existing 110KV ESB substation at Laughanstown. A foul sewer proposed along existing residential road (Valley Drive) will connect the proposed networks to the existing Carrickmines Trunk sewer in Lehaunstown Valley. 4. In addition to surface water drainage infrastructure within the road corridor, proposed new surface water infrastructure includes an attenuation pond at Lehaunstown Valley with outfall to Cabinteely River and a detention basin at the intersection of the proposed Castle Street with Lehaunstown Lane (Juntion K). The attenuation pond will be constructed using excavated material from the site (including material from previously excavated ground in TC1, adjoining WLR). Surface water sewers are also proposed between Castle Street (Junction D1) and Grand Parade and within existing residential road north-west of Tullyvale apartments. 5. Permission is also sought for all associated ancillary site and development works associated with the above, including hard and soft landscaping, enabling works and temporary construction works (including site accommodation, site compounds, temporary boundary fencing and construction access road from WLR-J). An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been prepared and will be submitted to the planning authority with this application.
