3 PROJECT OVERVIEW The largest shopping center in the state of Illinois and one of the largest shopping malls in the United States. Woodfield Mall is located approximately 27 miles from the Chicago loop and attracts more than 27 million visitors a year. 3

5 TENANT INFORMATION PACKAGE The Tenant Information Package (TIP) is intended to provide you with the project s design and construction criteria and consists of several parts: COMPONENT TIP Index Tenant Design Manual Kiosk Design Manual Architectural Criteria MEP/FP Criteria Bulletins DESCRIPTION Will provide a comprehensive list of topics to help locate information Provide mall specific architectural, sign and engineering design criteria Outline submission requirements and will provide necessary guidelines to design your store. (same as Architectural Criteria) 5

14 HVAC RETAIL TENANTS This is an enclosed rooftop AND DX split unit mall. Engineer is required to accommodate conditions that may affect the performance of the HVAC system for their store. Equipment. Split systems are required on first floor and intermediate level. Unit(s) to be located on Landlord supplied dunnage. Modify as required. Downflow rooftop unit(s) on full curb, with electric heat, are permitted for Tenants with direct access to the roof. Locations to be approved by Landlord. Gas is only available for Food Tenants Condensate Drain Condensate to be piped to nearest roof drain. PVC is not permitted Outside Air Distributed to lower level Tenants, or through RTU s. Return Plenum (Ducted return is for odor producing Tenants only and subject to Landlord approval). Toilet Exhaust Distributed by Landlord for Tenant connection. Smoke Control Only in Common Areas. Smoke Detectors as required by Code Odor, Thermal & Process Equipment Exhaust Size for application by Tenant. Temperature Controls Stand-alone digital electric/electronic control system by Tenant. Test & Balance Tenant shall employ a TAB, NEBB or AABC Certified Air Balance Contractor to perform final testing and balancing. See Criteria Sheet MEP-1 for further information. 14
15 PLUMBING RETAIL TENANTS Water Distributed via overhead or below floor mains. Minimum 3/4 valved connection. Tenant supplied meter in all spaces. In buildings D, E, F, G, J, & K, Tenants are a direct customer of the Utility. In buildings L & N water is redistributed and billed by the Landlord.. Waste 4 wye connection off Landlord main. Designated connection point within or adjacent to space. Vent Utilize existing connection or Tenant to install new. Grease Waste No Landlord provisions. Natural Gas Only available for Food Tenants Toilet Rooms As required by code. Drinking Fountain Per code and ADA requirements. Service Sink As required by code. See Criteria Sheet MEP-1 for further information. 15
16 FIRE PROTECTION RETAIL TENANTS Implementation Tenant shall directly employ the Landlord designated contractor to install and/or modify existing grid or utilize connection provided. Tenant Flow Switch Not permitted. Valve for Tenant Space Not permitted. See Criteria Sheet MEP-1 for further information. 16
17 ELECTRICAL RETAIL TENANTS Voltage 120/208 and 277/480, 3ph, 4-wire Information for D, E, F & G These are served from distribution centers on mezzanines in the service corridors, on both floors, in their respective buildings. There is 480/277/3 Phase, 4-wire, service to each mezzanine, metered by the Utility. There is a 480 volt panel with limited availability for Tenant use, and 208 volt panels for Tenant use. There is a separate 480/277/3 Phase, 3-wire service for power to the roof for Tenant s RTU S. Tenants up to 200 A / 208 V are to connect to buss ducts in the corridors. Note: The buss connections do not have disconnects and require a shutdown of the area served for modifications. Tenants over 200 A / 208 V are to connect to the distribution equipment on the mezzanines. 480 Volt service is provided to Tenants over 5000 SF. Power (480 Volt) for Tenant s HVAC equipment is taken from distribution panelboards on the roof. Information for J & K Same as above, except building K s distribution comes from D & J. Information for L & N These are served from distribution centers in Electrical rooms on the second level. There is only 480/277/3 Phase, 4 wire, for all services in these buildings, metered by the utility. The Tenant s are served by buss ducts in the corridors. Tenants up to 200 A / 480 V are to connect to buss ducts in the corridors. Note: The buss connections have disconnects and do not require a shutdown of the area served for modifications. Tenants over 200 A / 480 V are to connect to the distribution equipment in the electric rooms. 17
18 ELECTRICAL RETAIL TENANTS CONT. Voltage 120/208 and 277/480, 3ph, 4-wire (see previous page) Landlord Equipment Exterior cable busway with meters and fusible switches or interior metering boards. Minimum 2 empty conduit. Power Provided by Landlord redistribution system. Tenant to provide disconnect, fusing, meter and conductors and connect to Landlord distribution board (if not existing). Metering Reuse existing or provide new per Landlord specification. Capacity TENANT MAXIMUM ALLOTMENT IS 20 WATTS PER SQUARE FOOT. Submit connected and demand electrical load data to support electric service size requested. Telephone 3/4 minimum conduit with pull wire to designated connection point in central locations. Fire Alarm Interface with Landlord system is only permitted when the Tenant occupancy requires a system to meet Code. If required by Code, Tenant to provide required panel and devices compatible with Simplex 4100 system. Duct detectors to shut down RTU equipment to be annunciated within Tenant space only. See Criteria Sheet MEP-1 for further information. 18
