4 A Brief History The Manor House is a charming character property dating back to the early 18th Century. The original Manor House, owned by the Duke of Manchester was burnt down and rebuilt on the current site using stone and brick which now forms part of the Manor. It is believed that the Manor was renovated and altered in 1916 in the Queen Anne revival style.
