More students are also taking advantage of affordable, privately-owned housing options, including Campus View, the only on-campus student apartment community. There are other nearby housing options, including Campus Town and Prairie Pointe, located next door to campus. They re part of the new Trail Point Town Center, featuring residential neighborhoods, outdoor cafes, retail, and open space around an old-fashioned town square. DMACC s Ankeny Campus is being woven into the new Prairie Trail development to the west of campus to create a stronger sense of community. While Ankeny is one of Iowa s fastest growing communities, it s also one of the safest. What s more, Ankeny is near many of Central Iowa s entertainment, shopping, and recreational hot spots.
