2 Introduction Clúid Housing is an award-winning organisation that leads the way in delivering high quality, affordable homes to people in housing need all over Ireland. Clúid has been designated approved housing body (AHB) status by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government. Operating since 1994, we are now the largest housing association in Ireland. Our team of over 170 highly qualified professional staff are committed to providing quality housing and services to enable people to create homes and thriving communities. Clúid has vast experience working in partnership with private developers, local authorities and other stakeholders to provide quality housing to those on housing waiting lists all over Ireland. These projects vary from new build and turnkey developments to urban regeneration and local authority stock/land transfers. For almost a quarter of a century, we ve been extending our property portfolio and now own or manage over 6,000 units across all counties. But we re not stopping there! Our focus is now firmly fixed on expanding our portfolio through construction and acquisition projects. We are actively seeking new partners to help us achieve our ambitious growth strategy delivery of 2,500 new units over the next three years. 6 Clúid Design & Build Clúid develops the majority of housing projects through standard procurement or in-house design and build. Over the last 20 years, we ve amassed considerable experience in managing the construction process. Our in-house design team has considerable experience in all aspects of social hosing projects. 8 Design & Build Clúid has developed a procurement process and development agreement that allows us to finance developer-led design and build projects in various stages. The first stage sees Clúid purchase a site and enter into a development agreement. The developer then manages the design and construction of the project. We see this model as a major source of supply in the future. It reduces finance costs for the developer and delivers high quality new build units to Clúid. 12 Turnkey & Acquisition Clúid is leading the way in funding turnkey developments with private developers. Our team have access to finance from the European Investment Bank at preferential rates. Clúid has purchased completed units from a number of developers, particularly in recent years. This includes purchasing the remaining properties in unfinished estates, bringing back demand and enriching local communities.
