The kitchen, so as the living room and the entrance, overlook on a large internal yard with a stone well. From the bedroom with fireplace we reach the wardrobe on two levels and a bathroom with fireplace. Another bedroom, also it with stone fireplace, is equipped with bathroom. TECHNICAL DETAILS LOCATION Monumental ruins attest the existence of an Etruscan settlement in the VIIth century BC. Subsequently, around to the 225 BC, the whole area was dominated by Gaul, that later on, were fought off by Romans. During the civil war it drew up against Rome and for this reason it was hard punished by Porcio Catone. In the dispute between Silla and Mario, it sided with the latest. It was seat of a military guard around which the Roman city of Faesulae developed and quickly began, thanks to the magnificent buildings ( the theatre, the thermal baths, the Capitol, the Forum, numerous temples...), the centre most important of the region. Its prestige grew weak for barbaric invasions and for the development of Florence. In the 405 it was invaded by Gothic. In the 540 it underwent a siege of Belisario that in the end subjected it for hunger. In the Longobard and Carolingian period, bishops of Fiesole enjoyed of a strong politic and economic power which ended in the 1125 when the city fell under the Florence s rule. From this time Fiesole remained tied to the near city preserving a remarkable autonomy and becoming destination of a refined tourism of literary men and artistes that appreciate the landscape and artistic beauty.
