The building has been subjected to works of renovation bringing to light a characteristic building in farmhouse style keeping the native elements. The village enjoys of wonderful views on woods, cypresses, olive groves and vineyards. It is placed between two historical resort of the Chianti zone: Radda and Gaiole in Chianti. Besides, the village is equipped by a farm that extends for 360 hectares of which 75 hectares are used as vineyard for the Chianti Gallo Nero wine production and 25 hectares are used as olive grove for olive oil production. The gunpowder magazine is an out-and-out farm preceded by a large square in part covered by a gazebo. The ground floor should be occupied by a living room, a kitchen and a dining room or by a dining room, a kitchen, a bedroom and bathroom. On the same level, there are, besides, a laundry and a bathroom. Staircases lead, then, to the first floor that can host three bedrooms with bathrooms. The village, in which the farm is placed, includes also a swimming pool and large car parks. TECHNICAL DETAILS LOCATION Before of the year 1000 some people lived in small towns on the hills around Gaiole. People who came down downstream from Vertine, Montegrossi, S.Donato and S.Piero fed long the river Masellone that will be Gaiole, the principal centre of the whole town. In 1215 the birth and the development of an important street market were cause of attraction down. After, the market was moved to a bigger square today the centre of the village. Beginning from 1300 Gaiole and its community became part of the Chianti s League together with Radda in Chianti and Castellina in Chianti. Leagues were the politic administrative division made from Florence in the country area. From league flowed to Florence soldier and money or riots during the war. For four centuries the territory was boundary line and of battle between Florence and Siena. During this period incursions and reciprocal sacks followed one after the other. Gaiole was under Florence but in the XIXth century, during the short kingdom of Etruria, Napoleone enclosed it under the Sienese Department and so it remain until today after the unity of Italy.
